MPA Charity Lunch: October 5th – with Prevent Breast Cancer and the @MPAweareyou

After a hugely successful sold out event last year, which member of our board Katy Leeson was the keynote at.

The MPA are delighted to again be partnering with the inspiring Prevent Breast Cancer.

For their month of fundraising during October.

Prevent Breast Cancer is the only UK breast cancer charity funding ground-breaking research solely aimed at preventing the disease for future generations.

This year, they are hosting our special charity lunch on Wednesday 5th October at the iconic Midland Hotel in Manchester at 12pm. The event was a complete sell out last year and they expect the same again, so they are releasing tickets super early  so you can get it in your diary and start to plan who you might be inviting.

It’s lining up to be a super-tasty, super-stylish affair with amazing food, and wonderful speakers from our own industry as well as supporters of the charity.

What a difference a year makes…

Last year Emma took us all on her journey through diagnosis and treatment to 5 years on from Breast Cancer. Now a year later she is back to share with us how her cancer has unexpectedly affected her and those around her in the last 12 months.

Talking about the impact of the menopause, cancer in the media and how the last year has been a reminder of how important it is to have the right people around you.

With over 30 years media experience Emma is Regional Managing Director of Wavemaker UK. She has been with Wavemaker for 25 years, and is passionate about nurturing and developing young talent in the business.

She has recently taken a position on the MPA board and is an ambassador for Prevent Breast Cancer.

6 years ago she was diagnosed with Breast Cancer, and although now cancer free, she wants to share her story to ensure more women are aware and catch cancer early.
