Can you prove Your FLOCK’s outputs are correct?

 In FAQs

Your FLOCK provides you with a team engagement platform that provides you with a core value-based employee engagement survey that helps you save money by retaining more employees.

It is unique because the engagement survey is tailored to employees’ core values which are identified by a 5-minute survey derived from The University of Manchester and Stanford University.

How do we make sure that the results from the 5-minute core values survey are correct?

Your FLOCK is based on a valid and reliable methodology called Organisational Culture Profile conducted by Jennifer Chatman, Charles A. O‘Reilly III and David F. Caldwell. Based on existing scientific and commercial methods, Your FLOCK further evaluated existing methods and crystallised the methodology designed to help people improve employee retention.

The set of core values was derived using factor analysis with varimax rotation. This means that in the original OCP studies the psychologists derived 110 different items that can be used to describe one’s values. Then, they asked thousands of people (over 2,500 people combined) to group them in the order of importance for them.

‘The study demonstrates, conclusively, that there there are very clear relationships between culture in an organisation and firm’s performance.’

Charles O’Reilly III, Professor at Stanford Graduate School of Business

Then, they used the factor analysis with varimax rotation to identify any patterns in answers across thousands of people.

This helped them to identify which items were correlated. Then, by analysing correlated values they were able to name the underlying factors/core values defining them. This led to the identification of the nine different core values used by Yur FLOCK today and behaviours that relate to them. Here is the list of the core values/factors Your FLOCK measures:

  • Caring,
  • Teamwork,
  • Detail Drive,
  • Personal Growth,
  • Adaptability,
  • Customer Focus,
  • Recognition,
  • Autonomy,
  • Result Focus.

You will also be asked to complete the core values surveys multiple times so we can take an average of your results and hence create more accurate output.

It is important to mention though that the 5-minute survey won’t be able to define all of your characteristics. However, it will highlight some features that are unique to you and compare them with your team. The most important part of the survey is the fact that it helps you spark conversations with your colleagues. By using Your FLOCK, you can start structured conversations with colleagues about how you can adapt the way you work to play to other people’s core values.

‘Really like the iMessage format and natural language. FLOCK’s survey felt like a good conversation and neat touch to have auto complete at the start of the exchange. Format and style, and the accuracy of the results was very good and accurate.’
