Sandy Lindsay MBE was honoured in the Queen’s birthday list of 2015 for services to business and young people. The same year also saw Sandy named North West Director of the Year (SME) and Highly Commended in the same award, nationally, by the Institute of Directors.

Sandy started her marketing career 30 years ago, moved into PR consultancy five years later and launched her own communications consultancy – Tangerine – in 2002. In 2017, celebrating 15 years in business and fulfilling a launch promise, Sandy put Tangerine into Employee Ownership, creating 60+ partners in the business.

Sandy is passionate about creating quality career opportunities for young people and has launched and grown myriad job creation programmes over the years, supporting graduates and apprentices. Her latest – The Juice Academy social media apprenticeship – has created more than 300 roles in leading businesses across the region.

Sandy is a national Ambassador for Apprenticeships, Vice Chair of Forever Manchester and on the Business Leadership Council of TeachFirst in the North West. She chairs skills groups for the IoD and the North West Business Leadership Team and is Vice Chair of the latter. She is a NED of Northcoders, a leading coding Bootcamp and a Board Adviser to Your FLOCK our own company culture (future SAS) start up that specialises in helping remote work and working from home businesses.
