She has a track record of designing procedures, improving workflows, and providing training online and in-person through written handbooks, workshops, and presentations to individuals of different backgrounds and roles. Coming from a highly regulated area, she is a detail-oriented professional who understands the strict need of documentation of compliance. For her, compliance is more than checking a box, because it relates to further opportunities to support people and create environments of diversity, inclusion, and well-being.

As Melissa says herself “I love connecting with people, through one-on-one conversations and presentations with various audiences, and pointing people toward success. I have my M.A. in Higher Education/Student Personnel, focusing on administration and adult learning, as well as B.A.’s in Psychology and Criminology. I recently obtained my aPHR from HRCI and hope to gain additional certifications in the future.I am seeking to apply and expand my skills beyond the higher education environment to human resources.”
